Southview Christian Fellowship began in the fall of 2003 as a church plant from Capilano Christian Assembly. Their vision was to send a group of people to begin a daughter church in south Edmonton and reach into another community. At this time, Southview began to meet at the Pleasantview Community Centre in South Edmonton.
Six years after Southview had begun its work from the Pleasantview Community Centre, it was time to make a change. In the fall of 2009, the church began to meet in its current location, St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church.
